ADMISSION RULES

There shall be a Three – years Course for the degree of LL.B. (P) and Two –
years course for the degree of LL.B. (A) and the teaching shall be conducted
through the lecture method, practicals and class performance during the
session and examination shall be conducted throguh written papers,
practicals and viva-voce at the end of each year.
All students would be admitted to LL.B. Ist year professional course only and
those who like to take admission in LL.B. Ist year academic course will have to
apply separately. Those who do not apply separately, would be deemed to
have been admitted to the Professional course.
The instructions shall be provided in each paper of LL.B. I, II and III year for 3
hourss a week.

A candidate who has taken the Bachelor’s or the Master’s degree in Arts /
Science / Commerce / Medicine / Management / Engineering / Nursing /
Veterinary / Agriculture or the degree of Shastri / Acharya or the degree of
Ayurvedacharya / Ayurveda Brihaspati of this university or of any other
university recognised for the purpose by the Syndicate with full course
prescribed for the degree and secured a minimum of 45% marks (excluding
any concessional marks) in the aggregate marks prescribed for the
examinaton for the aforesaid degree shall be eligible for admission to LL.B.
First Year Course.
EXPLANATION
(i) For the purpose of this ordinance, the marks of only those subjects /
papers shall be taken into account which have been considered for
awarding division at the Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree Examination.
(ii) Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination with full
course in one attempt or in parts or as private candidate or by
correspondence, will also be eligible for admission to the LL.B. First year
course class provided they secure minimum percentage of marks as
SKALE Legal Education the best you can have…
Provided further that the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / OBC
(excluding creamy layer) category will get 5% concession in the above eligibility condition
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- A candidate shall apply for admission on the prescribed form and may be
required to appear at his own expense for interview before the Principal. - Admission of a student to the College shall be subject to the conditions
prescribed by the Ordinances / Rules of the University of Rajasthan and
approval by Bar Council of India. - At the time of submitting his application form the applicant must furnish the
attested copies of all documents, i.e. TC, CC, Marks – Sheet and other
certificates. The originals must be produced for verification at the time of
admission. Un – attested photostate copies of certificates and marks -sheets
etc. shall not be accepted. - Acceptance of application form does not guarantee admission. Admission
will be made according to merit drawn on the basis of marks obtained at the
qualifying examination, on number of seats determined by the college as per
law which will be notified on the notice board separately. - Admission may be refused to any student by the college without assigning
any reason thereof. - Following categories of candidates will not be eligible for admission in LL.B.
Class :
(a) Candidates who are declared failed or are detained from appearing at an
examination on account of shortage of attendance.
(b) Candidates who do not take an examination after completing the attendance
and thereby could not pass. Such candidates can be considered for
admission once in the next session if the seats remain vacant.
(c) Candidates who are short of even one mark in the minimum eligibility
prescribed for different categories.
(d) Candidate against whom an F.I.R. has been lodged by the University or any
institution or any affiliated College or by any other competent Authority.
(e) Candidate who has been convicted for a criminal offence involving moral
turpitude.
(f) Candidate who has indulged himself / herself in a misbehaviour with any
teahcer or with any official of the University / College. - Declaration / Undertaking prescribed by SKALE will have to be made by each
student at the time of admission.
Reservation of seats / relaxation of marks for S.C., S.T., O.B.C. and
Physically Handicapped : 1)49% of the total number of the seats will be reserved for Natural Born sons /
daughters of parents belonging to SC, ST & OBC (Excluding Creamy Layer)
in the ratio of 16%, 12% and 21% respectively. 2)3% of total number of seats will be reserved for physically handicapped
candidates who shall be required to furnish a certificate in original from the
Principal, S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur / Director, Rehabilitation Centre /
other competent doctor countersigned by P.M.O. / CMHO. To such
candidates, a relaxation of 3% marks in the minimum percentage of marks for
admission shall be admissible. On the non-availability of P.H. candidates,
their seats will be filled up by general category candidates on the last date of
admission.
- All SC, ST and OBC candidates who have applied for admission will be
arranged in order of merit amongst themselves.
Examination Rules

A candidate who has once been awarded the degree of LL.B. (A) by the
University and has thereafter appeared at and passed, after having undergone a
regular course of study, the Third Year of the LL.B. (P) course, shall be awarded
the degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional) in supersession of his degree of
the Bachelor of Laws (Academic). This fact shall be inserted in the degree of
Bachelor of Laws (Professional).

Every candidate for the two year course of the degree of LL.B. (A) and the three
year course for the degree of LL.B. (P) shall present himself for examination in the
papers prescribed in the Regulations of University.

Each theory paper in LL.B. I, II, and III year shall be of 100 marks. The Practical
papers in each year of LL.B. I, II and III year has been divided into two parts : Part
“A” shall be of practical written examination of 80 marks and Part “B” shall be of
Viva – voce examination of 20 marks. A candidate shall be required to pass
separately in Practical written and Viva – Voce Examinations.
Other Rules
(1) For a pass, in each of the LL.B. I / II / III year examination, a candidate must
obtain not less than 36% marks in each paper (theory and practical
separately) and 48% marks in aggregate of theory and practical papers
prescribed for the examination concerned. A candidate who fails at the LL.B.
I / II / III year examination and has obtained not less than 36% marks in at least
5 thory papers and practical or 6 theory papers shall be permitted to
reappear in one to two theory and practical or at the most three theory papers
of his choice at the due paper examination. He shall be permitted one main
and three due paper chances to clear his all papers of Ll.B. I / II / III year
examination under New Scheme.
(2) Of the successful candidates, those who secured 60% or more marks shall
be placed in I division and the rest in II division.
(3) A candidate who has passed LL.B. I Year, II year or III Year examination and
desires to improve his performance, may be permitted to reappear at the
same examination in the same subject(s) / Paper(s) in the immediately
following year on the condition mentioned in Ordinance 169-E
